MySQL 8.0 Launched

Hi,

Webuzo Team has launched MySQL 8.0, the latest version of MySQL. It is available for both Ubuntu and CentOS.

Please note these following points:

– Currently, We are not providing upgrades to MySQL 8.0 from any version of MySQL, Percona or MariaDB.
– Only Fresh installation’s of MySQL 8.0 are allowed, so If you have an existing Database then you may not be able to install MySQL 8.0
– Since we are installing MySQL 8.0 from the Vendor’s repo itself, MySQL will update itself whenever the OS updates.

Webuzo 2.7.1 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.7.1.
This version introduces a major new Feature many improvements & bug fixes.

Features:

1) Apache Subversion Management(SCM) integrated into Webuzo. Refer this guide to bring your code under Source Control Management.

2) New Architecture for Application Managers to provide fast updates, bug fixes and security patches outside Webuzo releases.

3) Let’s Encrypt Certificate’s will now be updated 30 days before the renewal date.

4) Updated the Let’s Encrypt utility(ACME.SH) which is used to issue and renew certificate.

5) Application Config editor’s can now be resized freely instead of a fixed size.

6) Optimized Pure-FTPd quota check to reduce server load.

7) While downloading backup files Browser’s will now display the total file size and the time to download.

8) Added a CLI utility to make Webuzo aware of the backups files uploaded in the /var/webuzo/backup directory. Refer this guide for more information

9) Exim and Dovecot now support SSL/TLS connections. *

Bug Fixes:

10) Fixed many bugs related to Apache Tomcat Management and configuration.

11) If PHP is running as a service, then editing it’s config file will trigger a restart.

12) Webuzo and numerous other Application service files have been updated so that the service will start up even after a hard reboot. It’s recommended to update all the Applications to the latest version.

13) When multiple Web Servers were installed, restarting the server would cause the non-default Web Server to start up on some servers, this is now fixed.

14) Let’s Encrypt certificate used for the panel was not reloaded after the renewal process, required a manual restart of the Webuzo service, this is now done automatically.

App Updates:

15) Node.js updated to the latest LTS release. Refer this guide to configure Node.js in Webuzo #

16) MariaDB 10.3 the latest version in the 10.x series, launched .

17) Updated Pure-FTPd to the latest LTS release.

18) MySQL 8.0 launched, the latest version by the MySQL Community in the 8.X series.

19) Updated Tomcat 7 & 8 to the latest version.

Webuzo 2.5.6 Launched

1) [Fix] Webuzo Backup and Restore threw MySQL/Exim not installed error if the application was installed for the first time on the machine after updating to 2.5.5. This is now fixed.

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.4. This version introduces some features and fixes.
The following is a list of all changes :

1) [Feature] You can now edit Domains from the Webuzo panel.

2) [Feature] cPanel importer will now import all mail users and their data as well.

3) [Feature] We have added an option to install Let’s Encrypt certificate while adding a new domain.

4) [Task] A warning message will be given on pages whose respective service is not running.

5) [Task] Let’s Encrypt utility will issue certificate for ‘www’ server alias only if it exists and is reachable.

6) [Task] If SSL certificate is installed for a domain, then ‘HTTPS’ protocol will be pre-selected on the script installer form in the Enduser Panel.

7) [Task] Updated Russian and French Translations.

8) [Fix] In the Enduser page, clicking on Add Domain produced a ‘Utility not installed’ in case BIND was not installed. This is now removed.

9) [Fix] ‘Addon Domain creations’ limit also counted parked domain. This is now fixed.

10) [Fix] Custom Footer Link set in Admin panel was not updated after upgrading WordPress installations. This is now fixed.

[Poodle Fix]
This version fixes the Poodle Bug updating the Apache / NGINX / Apache2 / Lighttpd configurations with the necessary fix.

1) Modern Theme : Revamped the Modern theme making the new theme attractive, easy to use and simple.
Note : The Modern theme will be set as the default theme in the next version of Webuzo expected to be released in the 1st week of November 2014, the current default theme will be set as the legacy theme when the Modern theme is set as default. You can change the theme from Webuzo Admin panel -> Settings

2) Added Statistics : Users can now check the statistics about the number of users, installations (scriptwise), etc from Webuzo Admin Panel -> Installations -> Statistics.

3) Added option to disable auto backups individually i.e. Users can disable daily/weekly/monthly auto backups from Webuzo Admin Panel -> Settings

4) [BUG FIX] Email accounts with the same name could be added. This is fixed now.

5) [BUG FIX] CA Bundle Certificate could not be installed with NGINX as the default webserver. This is fixed now.

Webuzo 2.3.0 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.3.0. This version has some quick new features and minor bug fixes.

1) Support for Apache 2.4 : Users can now install Apache 2.4 from the Webuzo Enduser Panel and also set Apache 2.4 as the default web server to be used.

2) Users can now create a blacklist of scripts (i.e. scripts to be disabled) from the Admin Panel. Click here for guide.

3) Users can now enable backups to be taken by admin using CLI even when the backups are disabled in Enduser Panel. Enable the setting “Allow admin to backup from command line” from Webuzo Admin Panel -> Settings. Click here for CLI backup guide.

4) Improved Script packaging API to deliver script updates faster.

5) Added Japanese language.

6) [BUG FIX] Users were unable to refresh the license key once they are logged out from the Webuzo Panel. This is fixed now.

7) [BUG FIX] CRON Weekday was restricted to 0-6 as the parameters instead of 0-7. This is fixed now.

10) [BUG FIX] Unwanted spaces added while creating domains from Webuzo Enduser Panel caused inappropriate building of Apache configurations. This is fixed now.

11) [BUG FIX] Changing the PHP configurations from the Webuzo Enduser Panel attempted to restart the Apache server, even if it was not set as the default webserver.

12) [BUG FIX] When all the scripts in a Category were disabled the category was displayed as undefined. This is fixed now and the category will be hidden when there are no scripts enabled under that category.

13) [BUG FIX] Demo URL for custom scripts in the top scripts section has been fixed.
