The Webuzo Team has launched 3.0.1. The following is the list of changes :

Webuzo 2.8.9 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.9. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Bug Fix] : After adding a new domain Rainloop was not working for newly added domains. This has been fixed.

2) [Improvement] : Due to .htaccess rules for the domain causing issues in Lets encrypt to issue certificates. This has been improved.

Webuzo 2.8.7 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.7. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Feature] : Added WordPress Manager, which will allow users to manage multiple WordPress installations on the same page. The WordPress Manager features include :
1. Change the Site URL and Site Name
2. Manage Auto Upgrade core, plugins and themes settings
3. Enable / Disable WordPress options like Search Engine Visibility, Debug Mode, WordPress Cron (wp-cron).
4. We will be adding Plugins/Themes Management, Live screenshot and many more options in WordPress Manager in the upcoming version.

2) [Improvement] : Added Mail queue under the Email account section to show the emails which are in the queue.

3) [Improvement] : Admins can now choose the default email settings i.e. receive email notifications for which tasks will be applied when the user accesses Softaculous for the first time. These settings can be changed from Softaculous admin panel -> Settings – “Default Email Settings for endusers”.

4) [Improvement] : The “error_log” will not be included in the backup from now. This file was sometimes very large consuming unwanted space for backups.

5) [Task] : Added CLI utility to repair EMPS binary(EMPS is the binary on which Webuzo runs), Here is the command to repair EMPS.

/usr/local/emps/bin/php /usr/local/webuzo/cli.php --rebuild_emps

6) [Bug Fix] : Database users with the privileges were not restored in Webuzo Backup and Wbuzo Backup was not supported for Mariadb10.5. This has been fixed.

7) [Bug Fix] : Grant privileges to database users were not working with anyhost with all Supported MYSQL/MariaDB. This has been fixed.

8) [Bug Fix] : Total Disk space under the server status section was wrong. This has been fixed.

9) [Bug Fix] : When some firewall rules were removed from CSF was not reflecting. This has been fixed.

10) [Bug Fix] : During Clone, Staging and Push to Live the URLs starting without http/https (e.g. //domain.com) were not replaced with the new one. This is fixed now.

Webuzo 2.8.5 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.5. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Feature] : WordPress Plugin/Theme Sets created by admins can now be restricted with ACL plans. Admins can assign WordPress sets to specific packages.

2) [Feature] : Added a dedicated WordPress Manager icon in Webuzo to manage WordPress.

3) [Improvement] : Added filters to exclude files to be copied during backup, clone, staging, push to live and remote import.

4) [Improvement] : While making API call to install a script in Webuzo previously the allowed values for protocol (softproto) parameter were 1, 2, 3, 4 and Webuzo converted them to https or http as per the value. Now API calls are allowed to pass the protocol as http://, http://www., https://, https://www. as well.

5) [Improvement] : Sometime error_log files is in GB in sites backup, Excluded error_log file from backup.

6) [Task] : Added support for universal.custom.php which can be used to overwrite any settings in Webuzo. Refer to the guide here.

7) [Task] : Added CLI utility to enable all scripts at once. Here is the command:

/usr/local/emps/bin/php /usr/local/webuzo/cli.php --enable_script --all

8) [Bug Fix] : Large Backups over 8-10 GBs to WebDAV location failed. This is fixed now.

9) [Bug Fix] : When the backup limit is decreased it deleted all backups of the users instead of deleting just the unwanted extra auto backup. This has been fixed.

10) [Bug Fix] : If auto backup rotation is downgraded or admin has set a lower limit for auto backup it deletes the extra backups to reach the new backup rotation limit. This has been fixed.

Webuzo 2.8.3 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.3. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Bug Fix] On Ubuntu server, the Webuzo service was stopped after reboot due to which the panel was inaccessible. This has been fixed now.

2) [Bug Fix] Auto redirecting to secure login on port 2003 was causing the issue on domains configured with Cloudflare. This has been fixed.

3) [Bug Fix] Apps description on the left panel categories was wrong. This is fixed now.

4) [Bug Fix] Changing MYSQL password with special character % and & from Webuzo panel was not changed correctly. This is fixed now.

5) [Bug Fix] While importing installations from a remote server, if the remote server had a very low PHP/Webserver timeout the database was not imported properly. This has been improved to export the database from the source server in parts to avoid timeout.

6) [Bug Fix]: If the Auto Backup Rotation was set as ‘Unlimited’, on the edit installation page it was pre-selected as 4. Though the setting was saved correctly the dropdown was prefilled incorrectly. This is fixed now.

7) [Bug Fix]: While installing a script in sub-directory if the user added a leading slash (e.g. /dir) on the install form Webuzo was adding double slash in the URL. This is fixed now.

8) [Bug Fix]: Emojis used in installations were not copied correctly during Clone, Staging, Push to Live, Remote Import, Backups, and Restore. This has been fixed now.

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.2. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Feature] : Added settings in Webuzo Admin panel to Pre-select or to Force Auto Upgrade WordPress Plugins and Themes feature.

2) [Task] : cPanel import was not working due to old cPanel API used, now implemented with new cPanel API.

3) [Task] : If SSL is configured for Webuzo panel then non secure port 2002 for enduser and 2004 for admin panel will be redirected to secure ports.

4) [Improvement] : Improved the SitePad installer so users can choose the theme on the install form in Webuzo itself.

5) [Improvement] : Added support for IDN characters in directory name when installing WordPress in a sub directory. (support for IDN domains was already available).

6) [Bug Fix] : The SSL certificate used for FTP services was not set to auto renewed due to which the webuzo service was stopped. This is fixed now.

7) [Bug Fix] : While installing a script that needs a Cron Job to run, the validation of cron time did not allow usage of “/” causing error while using cron time as */5, etc. This validation has been fixed now.

8) [Bug Fix] : Cron edited for auto backup was adding duplicate cron job. This is fixed now.

9) [Security Fix] : There was a security issue in Awstats . This is fixed now.

1) [Improvement] : New version of SitePad Website Builder is now available in Webuzo.

2) [Bug Fix] : Clone/Staging/Backup did not work for installations using BIT data type in their database. This is fixed now.

3) [Bug Fix] : The timezone set in Webuzo did not consider Daylight Savings Time. This is fixed now.

4) [Bug Fix] : FTP home directory was not deleted if it was in user’s home directory. This is fixed now.

Webuzo 2.8.0 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has launched 2.8.0. The following is the list of changes :

1) [Improvement] : Added option to delete FTP home directory when deleting FTP account.

2) [Improvement] : Auto Upgrade WordPress Plugins and Themes option (when selected by users for their installation) previously used to upgrade only active plugins and themes. It will now upgrade all plugins and themes, the active ones as well as inactive ones.

3) [Improvement] : While Restoring a backup, previously Webuzo used to overwrite the backup files/folders over the existing files/folders. We have now added a checkbox “Delete existing files/folders” on Restore page which when selected will delete existing files/folders and then untar the backup files.

4) [Improvement] : While searching plugins/themes (from wordpress.org) on Manage Sets page in admin as well as enduser panel, more details like logo, author, rating, link to wordpress.org plugin/theme page will be displayed.

5) [Improvement] : When “Sync installations list with WebuzoRecords” setting was enabled from Webuzoadmin panel previously it used to check if installation directory exists everyday via cron. If the directory does not exist, the installation was removed from Webuzo records. Now it will also check if there are installation files in the directory. If the directory exists but the installation files are not present it will be removed from Webuzo Records.

6) [Bug Fix] : After adding UTF-8 characters in Staging installation the characters were not displayed correctly after pushing the installation to live. This is fixed now.

7) [Bug Fix] : WordPress installations made in public_html directory (i.e. domain root) having Wordfence plugin installed had some files created in root WordPress directory which was not included in Backup and Clone. This is fixed now and these files will be included in Backup and Clone.

8) [Bug Fix] : When enabling Varnish the varnish service needed to start manually. This is fixed now.

9) [Bug Fix] : If bandwidth limit set is higher than the usage the email was still sent. This is fixed now.

10) [Bug Fix] : Renewing Lets Encrypt Certificate doesn’t configure the SSL used for email if enabled. This is fixed now.

11) [Bug Fix] : Webuzo was not giving the error if there is package error on the server while installing system apps. This is fixed now.
