Webuzo 2.3.4 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.3.4. This version has some quick new features and minor bug fixes.


The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.3.4. This version has some quick new features and minor bug fixes.

1) IP based Domains: Users can now assign an IP for a Domain from the Webuzo Enduser Panel >> Add Domain Menu

2) Proxy Server: Users can now set Apache2 as the Proxy server from the Webuzo Enduser Panel >> NGINX Settings.

3) [BUG FIX] Restarted a STOPPED service from the Webuzo Enduser Panel failed. This is fixed now.

4) [BUG FIX] The Webuzo Enduser Panel remained inaccessible at login, if the Bulgarian Language was set as the default language. This is fixed now.

5) [BUG FIX] “www” alias was not created for sub-domains while using Lighttpd as the default webserver. This is fixed now.

Run Webuzo using VMPlayer

Getting Started
1) Download and Install VMPlayer (Located under Desktop & End-User Computing Category)

2) Download the Webuzo Virtual Appliance Package.
Download the latest version of Webuzo Virtual Applicance from the Downloads Page.

3) Extract the downloaded Webuzo package >> Right Click (Double Click) on the .vmx file
Select “Open with VMPlayer”

4) Webuzo will start-up the Webuzo CentOS machine.

5) Follow the provided instructions to access the Webuzo Admin/ Enduser Panel.

Default password for the “root” user is “webuzo”.

6) Access the URL provided by the Webuzo console to initially configure Webuzo.

Note : This step will take a while as the dependencies packages are downloaded to configure the machine.

Unable to fetch IP
If you get a message as “Obtaining IP” as in the image below. Here is the fix.

Log in to the VM (Ctrl+G) using the username “root” and password “webuzo” and execute the following commands:

Root > rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
Root > reboot
