No SEO features whatsoever with OSCommerce you can spend a few days trying to install the add on Header Tags SEO - it doesn't work even when its "working" it doesn't work. All SEO that comes standard with other eCommerce software must be installed separately as an add on.

i have been using osCommerce for 3 years and i can't think of any preferable way to do it at this point. the addons for SEO and security all work the way they were supposed to, the code is easily modify-able even if you aren't a whiz at those sorts of things, and any minor problems that i have had have been easily solved by the online support community. FIVE STARS! this is a great program! 8)

It is getting better. Go to OSCommerce forum for the latest modules from the world. A+++

I have been using oscommerce for over 5 years now. This new version of oscommerce is much better than previous versions, and does exactly what it says it does. The community forum is a great place to learn and to ask questions. As to the poster that says the seo addon does not work, it does. It must have been something that you did. I installed the whole package on a modified store and it work first time, and did not take a few days to install.

I am quite a novice at this, but had the shopping cart added to my web site within an hour and are ready for trading. It is very simple and straightforward to use. One of the other e-commerce sites I tried, gave me passwords, but I could not enter the admin to set up my shopping cart. So I switched to osCommerce and it worked first time.

It is unbelievable to see an application like this to be offered free to the public. I am a first time and having plan to incorporate it in to my website.
This is a generous act.

Tried some of the others but after all these years osCommerce is still the leanest and most secure solution out there.
