Webuzo 2.6.1 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.6.1. The following is a list of changes :

1) [Security] All the third party applications like phpMyAdmin, Squirrel, RockMongo will now run with unprivileged user only.

2) [Fix] MonstaFTP was removed in the previous version but the link remained in the Webuzo Dashboard. The same is now removed.

Webuzo 2.5.9 Launched

Webuzo 2.5.8 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.8. This version introduces some major features and fixes. The following is a list of changes :

1) [Feature] We have added a CLI based utility to reset MySQL root password.

2) [Feature] You can now set a custom time for automated backups of scripts while installing.

3) [Task] Auto-upgrade utility will now delete backups files of older version created by itself previously.

4) [Fix] Clone utility did not work after updating to the last version. This is now fixed.

5) [Fix] Custom DNS records were not saved permanently in the panel and were deleted after system wide changes. This is now fixed.

6) [Fix] htaccess rules for files with PHP extension did not work with Apache 2.4 and PHP-FPM. This is now fixed.

Webuzo 2.5.7 Launched

Hi,

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.7. This version introduces some major performance and security features. The following is a list of changes :

1) [Feature] You can now run PHP FPM along with Apache 2.4 using FastCGI.

2) [Feature] Option added to enable/disable Fast CGI for Apache 2.4 in Apache Settings page.

3) [Feature] Added option to backup script installations on remote server via FTP. Endusers can add multiple remote backup locations and choose the preferred location.

4) [Task] cPanel importer is now stable and out of Beta.

5) [Task] Installed SSL certificates will now also be listed in create SSL certificate page.

6) [Task] Improved the Cloning process by pushing it in background to avoid timeout.

7) [Task] Added ‘pre_addcron’ and ‘post_addcron’ filters. Guide for the same is available here.

8) [Task] Added “Sync installations list with Webuzo Records” setting in the Admin Panel so if the installation directory does not exist, it will be automatically removed from the records.

9) [Task] Added “Detect and update actual version of installations” setting in the Admin Panel so if the user has manually updated their installation the correct version will be updated in the records via CRON.

10) [Task] List of SSL Cipher Suite has been updated*.

11) [Task] Browsers will now be forced to use server’s ciphers over their own*.

12) [Task] Webservers will now create and use a Diffie Hellman key to verify client certificates and prevent logjam vulnerability*.

13) [Task] Server signature is now turned off in all webserver and PHP versions*.

14) [Fix] RewriteURL did not work if the default webserver was Apcahe 2.4. This is now fixed*.

*PHP and Webservers will need to be updated to the latest for these to take effect.

Webuzo 2.5.6 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.6. This version introduces a minor bug fix. The following is a list of change :

1) [Fix] Webuzo Backup and Restore threw MySQL/Exim not installed error if the application was installed for the first time on the machine after updating to 2.5.5. This is now fixed.

1) [Task] Installed applications will now be stored in JSON instead of Serialize format to minimize file read failures.

2) [Fix] Webservers were taking old Let’s Encrypt certificates even after successful renewal. This is now fixed.

Webuzo 2.5.4 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.4. This version introduces some features and fixes.
The following is a list of all changes :

1) [Feature] You can now edit Domains from the Webuzo panel.

2) [Feature] cPanel importer will now import all mail users and their data as well.

3) [Feature] We have added an option to install Let’s Encrypt certificate while adding a new domain.

4) [Task] A warning message will be given on pages whose respective service is not running.

5) [Task] Let’s Encrypt utility will issue certificate for ‘www’ server alias only if it exists and is reachable.

6) [Task] If SSL certificate is installed for a domain, then ‘HTTPS’ protocol will be pre-selected on the script installer form in the Enduser Panel.

7) [Task] Updated Russian and French Translations.

8) [Fix] In the Enduser page, clicking on Add Domain produced a ‘Utility not installed’ in case BIND was not installed. This is now removed.

9) [Fix] ‘Addon Domain creations’ limit also counted parked domain. This is now fixed.

10) [Fix] Custom Footer Link set in Admin panel was not updated after upgrading WordPress installations. This is now fixed.

Webuzo 2.5.3 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.3. This version introduces some minor fixes.
The following is a list of all changes :

1) [Feature] A new setting – Update System has been added in the Admin panel to enable system update using yum or apt-get.

2) [Task] Webuzo Cron by default, will not perform a system update unless Update System option is enabled in the Admin panel.

3) [Fix] Machines running CentOS 7 or higher faced issues with Firewalld service after updating to 2.5.2. We have disabled the service on such machines to resolve the issue.

Webuzo 2.5.2 Launched

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo 2.5.2. This version introduces some major features and minor fixes.
The following is a list of all changes :

1) [Feature] PHP will now run on sockets rather than listening on ports when using Nginx as default web server.

2) [Feature] We have introduced PHP 7.1, the latest version of PHP for our premium users.

3) [Feature] You can now see Let’s Encrypt logs in the panel itself.

4) [Feature] A new setting ‘Disable SSH’ is added in Webuzo ACL to hide SSH page in Enduser panel.

5) [Feature] PHP 5.6 will now be the default PHP version for premium as well as free license users.

6) [Feature] You can now limit the number of Add-on domain to be created in the panel using Webuzo ACL.

7) [Task] SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt utility will also include ‘www’ server alias from now on.

8) [Task] Webuzo cron will now check and update system using yum or apt-get as per the operating system.

9) [Task] PHP 5.5 is no longer the default PHP and will only be available to premium license users henceforth.

10) [Task] PHP 5.3 and 5.4 are deprecated and existing users will not be affected. New installations and updates of PHP 5.3 and 5.4 will not work. Please upgrade to the latest PHP version available in your panel.

11) [Fix] Upgrading Webservers resulted in deletion of extra configurations. This is now fixed and all the extra conf files will be preserved for future updates.

12) [Fix] Bandwidth was shown as 100% used after completion of initial installation of Webuzo. This is now fixed.

3) [Fix] After adding/changing SSL certificates, webserver restart failed. This is now fixed.
