overview
This guide explains how you can convert your Plesk server to Webuzo. This is an in-place converter which runs on your Plesk server itself and Uninstalls Plesk and install Webuzo and converts all plesk data to Webuzo. Everything works out of the box and all your users websites, domains, databases, emails, ftp accounts, ssl certificates everything remains intact.
Before beginning the conversion process, make sure to create a full backup of your VPS/Server. In the event something goes wrong, you will need to restore your backup, as Plesk will be uninstalled from the server during the conversion process.
Note: Open a shell terminal (e.g., PuTTY) and SSH into your server as root. Then, run the cd /root command to change to the root directory.
Run the following commands:
wget -N http://files.webuzo.com/plesk_webuzo_convert.sh
chmod 0755 plesk_webuzo_convert.sh
./plesk_webuzo_convert.shThe conversion will check the requirements and then ask you for a confirmation. Please type yes and press enter to proceed with the conversion.
You can find the converter logs at :
/root/webuzo_convert/plesk-webuzo-convert.log
This may take 5 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the resources available on your server and the network connection speed.
Since this takes time we recommend to execute the above commands using tmux or session so if your machine disconnects due to internet connection issue on your desktop the command still runs in background.
The converter will migrate the following data :
1) All Domains - Addon, Parked, Sub-domain.
2) MultiPHP preferences per domain
3) All Databases and Database Users
4) FTP Accounts
5) Email Accounts, Forwarders, Autoresponders and all other Email data
6) DNS records
7) SSL Certificates
8) Cron Jobs
9) ACL Packages
10) Users and Resellers with appropriate ownership
11) IP allocation to users and resellers
12) All packages installed on Plesk server will be installed in Webuzo with the same version
13) All other data required for your control panel to run
