Overview
This page allows you to select the default cryptographic key type used
for SSL/TLS certificates issued by the server (e.g., AutoSSL).
This is the default selected option. It provides strong security and is widely compatible with all browsers and devices.
A modern elliptic curve algorithm offering strong security with better performance and smaller key sizes compared to RSA.
A faster elliptic curve option with slightly lower (but still strong) security than P-384. Commonly used for performance optimization.
Provides higher security than RSA 2048-bit but requires more processing power, which may slightly impact performance.
Please Note
When you change the default key type:
-
All AutoSSL-issued certificates that use a different key type will be automatically replaced upon their next renewal.
- Existing certificates are not immediately changed but will update during the renewal cycle.
